Purple +/positive terminal???

+/- Carb Connections/Leads on 87 ProStar 190
I'm replacing the original carburetor on an 87 Prostar w/351 Indmar. Old carb had no +/- mark on carb where leads connect. Short lead was grounded to carb and longer lead led to the circuit...

I would like to convert to a removeable swim platform. Is there a source for brackets that will allow me to use the existing platform?
