I had my '85 for 24 years without even a depth finder and never hit a thing. The trick is to watch the shoreline. If you see trees in the water along the shoreline, don't hug that shoreline. If you...

Legitimate question. PCM has been a rock solid power plant for decades. I had an '85 with a PCM 351 for 24 years. I had a couple of years where the boat didn't make it into the water. I've got no...

On a "new" boat, I wouldn't mess around trying to diagnose or fix the problem. Your dealer should fix this. If you've had the same problem with 2 tow vehicles, it's pretty clear the problem is with...

I had a 1985 S&S for 24 years. I bought it for 3 event skiing, primarily slalom, and it was perfect for it. The boat was rock solid and needed very little in the way of repairs, or even...

Used to do it all the time with my 1985. It's about the only way to install the Fly hi pole. Be careful, cause it can be really slippery if there is any water on it.

Keep in mind that you purchased a boat that was specifically designed NOT to make a wake. I seriously doubt you could surf behind it. That boat also has a relatively low freeboard, so I'd be...

When you use the "tee" to run the boat out of water, do you have to plug the fresh water intake, or does the impellor just pull the water in?

To suck antifreeze in, what do you do?

I had that exact color upholstery in my '85. Those are the correct schemes, black piping and stripes on back of driver seat, engine cover and combing pads. The vinyl had a texture to it.

Who is using the Perko Flush Pro?

Winterizing got me thinking I should invest in a Perko Flush Pro. Could be so handy for sucking antifreeze in for winterizing, and just warming engine up to change oil. Is there a negative aspect?

I've got a 2008 X-1, not sure how that compares to your 1997 205, but my boat does seem to have much more bow rise than my 1985 S&S. With the S&S I never needed a riser in the seat, and just looked...

I seriously doubt ballast is going to help in that boat. Best bet is to slow way down. Boat cannot be on plane. Aren't Tristars a bit prone to taking wake wash over the stern?
