I've had a shore station for over 30 years. Still going strong. You do have to watch the cables if you don't specify stainless steel, otherwise it's galvanized. I've replaced the old galvanized ones...

84 was the transition year from aluminum to plastic. The early ones that year ere aluminum. The gas filler was on drivers side for aluminum, plastic was on the passenger side.
