When I fixed mine a few years ago (with a black rubber grommet), I removed the panel, epoxied into the fibreglass a stainless steel "T" nut. This solved installation issues.

I just had a look at 2010, 2011 & 2012 brochures (I happen to have them lying around) the 197 is at 2800lbs each year, the 190 is at 2620lbs in 2010-11. Very curious:confused:

You could definatley update to Zero Off, but the best way to maintain a relative consistant surf speed in PP is to run in RPM mode. Just adjust RPM's to desired speed and the boat will maintain it...
