Just made the change no waer came in .I disconnected hose first no water . Real easy job. Running back in shape . Really appreciate all the help and reply's thanks.

Impeller

Looking for advice. Impeller went yesterday , I have new one in hand, does boat have to come out of the water or can it be done while afloat. 94 prostar 190 Indimar ? Any advice appreciated.

I also have a 190 94 prostar . Have same throttle issue. Be very cafeful with clamps as I tried one and now have a flat spot midway. It did work however at the lower speeds so I do not have to hold...

I think the clamp is the best option. With 94 EFI the return spring is coil type not easily stretched. Did talk with dealer and they recommended clamps somtimes up to 3 to spead the pressure more...

Thanks for the info not sure I like the plier solution as it may be just a temp fix. I looked at the return spring on the engine and it's a coil type and may be a bit challenging to get some tension...
