Make a paper template, put both carpets together...

Make a paper template, put both carpets together one on top of the other and cut with a jigsaw. Slowly and carefully.

My boat lives in the salt water. I installed a flush pro and rinse the system with "salt away" after every use. I put some salt away in a spray bottle 50/50 mix with water and spray all metal parts....
