One more question:

How much play should there be in the steering wheel? I noticed there was some slop/play in wheel turning it left/right before it engages and moves the cable.

The PO says the cable was replaced. I don't know when it was replaced. We test rode it in a narrow canal so it was hard to test steering.

I'm pretty sure it needs to be replaced, but I like to make...

With everything hooked back up, I could not grab the rudder and turn it. Not sure if it is supposed to???

The rudder moves freely when disconnected from cable. It is harder to turn...

Well, I had the opportunity to re-assemble eveything over the weekend.

New o-rings, zerk, and pumped it full of grease while rotating the rudder. Grease purged out the weep hole on bottom of rudder...
