With air temps in the 80s you will want to take it off. but if air temps in the 60s or 70s I don't take it off the whole time but my oneil farmer john full suit plus jacket is very comfortable

If your dock can't take it get a new one or it's time for maintenance.

Yep i confirmed its the bendix and weak/broken spring. I cleaned it up and lubed it which helped a little.

Has anyone installed a new bendix kit? I saw i can get this for $35 starter is only 4...

I replaced the solenoid last year but only because I broke the plastic. But it's an Arco starter only about 4 years old. The boat starts with no issues at all just the strange noise at startup.

Really try some 3m rubbing compound then maybe 2000 grit. I got out some gouges with hook and loop 2kgrit with a cheap black and decker orbital sander.

I would use an impact wrench and an air stapler. The first bunk took me an hour just to get it off with impact wrench it took 10 minutes.

And you will need the old bunks to get the holes right...
