On the winch it depends on the features and how the winch will be used. A basic winch like the one you reference is single speed and is only rated at 1500 lbs....

I upgraded to the M608 when they first came out....

I upgraded to the M608 when they first came out. Very easy upgrade, it was basically remove 4 screws holding the head unit in, unplug the harness and RCA connectors then reverse the procedure....

No mine just uses the plastic clips. I did have on e with a ratchet at one time and I just wrapped it up in a small towel then sprayed it with WD-40 when I was done.
