Replacing the belt is quick and easy. Size depends on what engine you have. You should be able to find it on skidim.com. If you have any kind of MCOCD don't use belt spray, it'll end up all over...

If you're hearing the "solenoid" click it's not the lanyard. If the fuel pump is not priming intermittently, I would start with the fuel pump relay.

Probably had a bit of gas in the overflow line. There's usually a loop in it, and sitting on the lift enough pressure built up in the tank to blow it out.
