Its disappointing that basic maintenance of key safety components such as steering is such a hassle.
MC should reall be making it easier for us to maintain safety critical components....

On my 351 I had same problem. It was corrosion/pitting on pulleys. Removed and polished and occasionally used belt anti slip/lube. No problems thereafter.
