I second the vote for a 205, but I'd go with the DD. I've had the 205 and now a 197. With wanting to keep the budget low, have a hull that leans towards wakeboarding and can still throw a decent...

I have used two tractor tire tubes to move mine. Works great. My compressor doesn't take long to fill each tube - to where I need it to float. Whole operation takes about 30 minutes.

MCX Spark Plug Gap

I've heard conflicting numbers re: the gap on this engine's spark plug.
Mine is a 2008 (MPI) with ETX Cat exhaust.
The manual I have states .060" - and a nearby mechanic says it should be .040".
I...

Perfect Pass - No GPS Data

I've spoken to PP and they're sending me a new GPS unit.
Is it a relatively easy task to change out? Looks like I'm into some dash removal to start with.

Preventing mice from nesting in my boat!

I had my boat sitting on the trailer in the driveway for about a week, prior to winterizing. And in such a short time, some critters, (mice or chipmunks) were well on their way on creating a cozy...

Mine is still in, but looks like some possible freezing temps later this week, so plan on pulling it by then. In the meantime if we get some glass......we'll head out. And then have a hot shower!

Modifying MC Trailer

Due to the steepness of my local boat ramp, I'm looking into options for modifying my MC trailer. Basically to allow loading the bow when it comes in very low on the bow support and boatbuddy. The...

IMHO, MC is worth any extra cost in the long run. I've riden in a Moomba - the whole hull shook when hitting large rollers. I'd take all the time you need to find the perfect used boat. Any extra...

I've thought about this issue as well, I'm usually around 70 hours per season, so once I hit around the 35 to 40 hour mark, I change the oil. Allowing me to get 30 to 35 hours with that service,...
