Cutlass bearing possibly failing and starting to "whine" at certain RPM's? Maybe caused by a shaft alignment issue or shaft going through the shaft log?

Does this wiring to the coil look correct? I have not reconnected battery yet but taken the ballast resistor out of the circuit and bypassed it on the positive coil terminal.
