My thoughts exactly. Sticky stuff remover and maybe some heat should get all the residue adhesive off to give you the flat surface. When I removed mine every letter left the adhesive behind.

Hopefully Nauticstar have a fuel pump that does not fail after 300hrs and cost me $1200 equivalent here in the UK. Not that I am pi***d off or anything!

Just so you are aware the rotor in this assembly rotates easily. It looks like a well made component. Its the plastic lugs on the electric motor shaft that have failed

I was asked to keep you update on old fuel pump module recovery with Airtex2044 pump.
Pic 1. If your pump has a spring compress and tie otherwise it gets in way.
