Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the 190 will handle waves/chop better than the S&S. That is something to consider as well. My 1985 would beat you up on a rough day.

My '85 said the max cruise speed was at 3600 rpm, which was 36 mph. This was not possible with any chop/wakes at all. I cruised at about 20 with that boat.

My X1 is not near as fast or quick as that...
