Holes in teak

Teak is not supposed to rot. Do you have to fill the holes? Or are you filling them so that you can re-drill the same area? If you have a couple of holes that will be covered by the brackets, do you...

I agree with the Toyota comment. I had a Cherokee once and all I had was problems. I have a 10 year old Toyota Tundra with 140,000 miles and it has never been worked on except normal maintenance and...

That does not look like a Mastercraft trailer. If it is, those fenders look like homemade sheet metal. Make sure the trailer is in good shape or you could be looking at buying a new trailer for 3-5K.

I had a series of these over a 6 month period and never had a problem after the disk healed on its' own.

Sorry I misspelled epidermal.

Scuff line

I have a scuff line too where MC installed the platform to close to the transom. You can't really see it unless you take the platform off. I would go with at least 1/2".

Question

Does it automatically latch like the boat buddy or do you have to get out and flip that trigger switch?

Agreed. My 91 does not handle choppy water at all. If the wind is blowing 10-15 mph I won't even take it out as I have to cross a wide section of my lake to get to a cove. Get beat to hell trying to...

Carb

I have a 91 with a carb and my friend has a 94 with TBFI. Every time I warm mine up at the ramp, I wish I had her TBFI engine.

91-94 hands down. But 94 is the only one with fuel injection so I would look for a 94.

Outboard

It's still on ebay. They want $20k which is ridiculous, but maybe you can negotiate. Just go to ebay and search for 1994 mastercraft outboard boat and it should pop up.

Does anyone know where you can purchase OEM fuel sending unit for a 1991 PS 190? Don't want aftermarket if I can avoid it.

1994 Trailer

Trailers are very hard to find. I wanted to buy a fixer upper for a 91 while I rehabbed my existing one and then sell the fixer upper. I have been looking for years. Be careful if you get another...

Stuffing box

Thanks for all of the input. I think I will go with the "If it ain't broke don't fix it approach". One more question, in case I change my mind. Is it difficult to change?

Stuffing box

Does anyone know how often the stuffing box material should be replaced. I have a 91 PS 190 and I am pretty sure it has never been replaced.

# hours

How about 3. I am in a club that has a boat so I rarely use mine. Should probably sell it but don't want to. Never find another pristine 91 PS 190 with less than 500 hours on it.

Holes in platform

Not trying to harass you but does anyone know of a reason why you couldn't drill new holes in the platform for brackets that don't quite line up. Teak won't rot, so I personally don't see a problem....
