Valve Covers

Those valve covers look unique. Most Prostars through '89 had chrome valve covers. And, I don't remember seeing The Mastercraft Logo with a star on the aluminum ones that followed.

I have the same set-up. I'm able to get 45 mph GPS out of it with the stock 13 x 13 OJ prop.
Someone who knows more about engines may be able to help you get more MPH from it.

I think MC was moving towards the newer deck and windshield. through these years and offered the newer deck and flat panel windshield as a "deluxe" option.

Yes the plastic hook thing. I don't use them on my handle line. They are very handy for light weight mooring lines. (Jet ski etc.)
