I think MC introduced the newer deck and squared windshield as a "deluxe" model in the early 80's. So, there are both rounded and squared models in those years. '83 is all squared.

I think MC had both the rounded and three piece squared windshield in '82. I think the deluxe models had the squared version which was carried over to the '83 -'86 skiers.

I think the hoses in that system are usually reinforced with wire to prevent collapsing. This might be an issue depending on the hose you used.

I'm going to relocate the bilge blower to the engine compartment on my '83 S&S. Has anyone ever done this? Is there a 3" flange on the rear vent area where I can attach the hose?

Here is my setup. It has a garden hose fitting but I submerge a short section of hose into a full 5 gal. pail and let the pump draw the water into the engine.
