If it's anything like the lifting rings on the Prostar it looks like this under the deck. You should be able to just tighten it down or put a jam nut on it underneath.

Yes, the seat is mounted 1 inch forward of the center of the swivel (Assuming the center of the seat is the circular hole in the base) I also mounted the slider slightly toward the center of the boat.

(7" travel) and I moved the rear stop screw to get as much distance away from the dash as possible. (See Below) This does allow the slide to cantilever off the back but it still seems strong.

It's a 2000 205V. My stock set-up looked very much like the one in Pic #6. It's hard to tell from the picture if the base is slanted or not.
