Yeah I have the exact same thing on my ballast. If it's factory, it doesn't bother me too much. I guess I'll just leave it and carry some good wooden plugs

I can't find any information on these online, but if they are just electronic y-valves, they would make a great option for ballast installs. I would much rather have these than the piggy-back system...

I can't emphasize the importance of wheel torque enough. I had a 2002 X-Star single axle trailer and a couple of the lugs loosened, causing the wheel to wobble. Eventually stripped the threads off...
