Engine and gear has 1800 hours, I fixed my crankshaft seal area(rear main) the same way, worked fine. Anybody?

I assume it has a 351 engine, if so you should use oil with sufficient zink because of the flat tapped cams in this engines(your cam can wear out quickly if not), many modern oils don't have this...

Coulored silicone hoses would be cool, thanks for the tip! I prefer a transparent/clear hose from raw water pump, then I see imideately if the pump is pumping water or not when I start the engine.

For 9.99 you get good quality bearings, they are a common size bearing so if you pay more than that you probably get ripped off;-) I used SKF bearings in my pump.

Would the engine run at all at 200 rpm's, and wouldn't it die wen you put it in gear at such a low rpm? I would check the tach as well. Engine timing check would be a good idea while you're at it too.
