That would be my problem with a loose board....

That would be my problem with a loose board. Every time you hit choppy water the board bounces out making it a pain in the a**e! It has to be grippy and not too floaty.

The wave I get is pretty big but the top third is mush and there's hardly any sweet spot. Almost like the water is "sticky" if that makes sense. Maybe its a distribution problem but I can't get it...

Yes the saltwater is more bouyant - fresh water in the tank wouldn't make any difference - and there aren't any waves at my beach. Anyone out there actually do this? Can't be the only one!

I have had the same problem on my 2006 X2 since I bought it. New rudder port and steering cable and grease everywhere has made no difference at all. Fine at slow speeds - stiff as hell at speed....
