6.0 vs 8.1 in the X45

How does the 6.0 compare to the 8.1 in the X45? Mostly higher altitude boating. I would be propped down. Mostly used for surfing. Running about 2k lbs additional ballast.

If you are having trouble stopping an 02 X30 with a half ton truck or SUV than I would seriously look at your trailer brakes. Stopping shouldn't be a problem with those vehicles.

The newer drip less shaft seal will have a water supply line to cool the seal. If you are running the boat from a fake a lake or similar devise, yes, water will be coming from the seal.
