The prop end of the shaft is indeed 3/4 -10 threads. Odd that they are different. Anyway, got it all buttoned back up and now waiting for a nice day to test it for a couple of hours to adjust...

I got it with a combination of a file and die. Just took my time with a small triangular file followed by a 3/4" - 16 die. Yes, that is what it was. I tested it beforehand. Here are some pictures...

Good points. I will post a pic tonight. The key just smashed the threads straight from the keyway. It looks like it is a 3/4" a 16 thread (it's a 1" shaft). My plan is the clean the threads a little...

I have a small problem. When I removed the shaft coupler (it was on there tight!!), the key boogered up the threads on the shaft, does anyone know the die that I need to repair to get the nut back...

good to know. I will go to lowes. I just thought the fine thread is a little less common. Lowes is easier. Ill try there then Fastenal. And those are just Grade 8 bolts correct?
