Is it a bearing noise, or rubber squealing? That impeller is toast if it sat for 3 years. Get a new one, some glycerine, and spin it in to place, correctly. CW if it's a LH 351. Otherwise, look at...

I would think one of the older dealers have some still. I bought mine off of Deb's old store about 8 years ago. Should have bought 2!

Those boats can lose their steering due to cavitation if loaded with enough people. I remember a similar instance on a ski lake in the NW a few years back.

I think if there were a lot more barefooters that would bring the price up. Pro Stars have a large slalom following, and for non tournament skiers the old ones ski pretty nice.

I think a cut and buff, engine detail and service, and a lot of elbow grease gets you to 4-5k here. Make it through a marine survey, and you have a little leverage. What does that beast top end at 48?

I got 2 for 20 bucks online. I have a new Johnson impeller installed, thought they could be cheap backup parts, but may reconsider.

Boat value down 1/2 any time I see a tower on an old Pro Star. I wonder how close that thing comes to an underpass?

I went through the whole rebuild thing with my 4010. My advice, don't go with another 4010. Get a 4160 and don't look back. It is a much more reliable carb. The 4010, even at 300 hours never idled...

There is an 02 on Ski it Again for 15,900. Lots of great boats out there for cheap, be thorough in your evaluation if buying from a private party, and demand a warranty if buying from a dealer.
