Did you try giving a little throttle to help prime the system? My guess is you just have some air intrusion from the winterizing process and don't have water through the entire cooling system yet.

It doesn't matter. The tubes do "pinch" in the middle but as long as both sides of the tube are inflating it works. In fact, in the last 15 years I've been using the tubes (same tubes by the way)...
