The mirror is for surfing, so when the driver is looking back at the rider, the mirror gives him a view forward.

FWIW, boat is an X-55. My X-25 was put away a couple weeks ago, and my buddy's X-55 gets put away Monday.

Last day of the season

Last day of November, we got out on Lake Washington for a fantastic end of the season wakeboard session. It wasn't too bad -- water temp 48F, air temp 46F. Warmer than earlier in the week when the...

Exactly -- the G 21 and X-25 have the same length and width, but the G 21 has 2800 lbs of factory ballast (vs, what for the X-25, 800 or so?), and it has NSS as an option.

In terms of the wake,...

The X-25 and G 21 are the same length (21'6") and width (102"). The G is 600+ lbs heavier and 3" less draft.

I'm with 501s on this. If MC came out with an X-25 with 2800 lbs of factory ballast, a G-level wake, and an NSS type surf system, I'd upgrade from my 2011 X-25 in a minute. IMHO, while MC has more...

At 21'6" length and 102" width, it's the same basic dimensions as the X-25. It's a lot heavier though, 5200 lbs vs 4570. Surprisingly, the draft is only 25" vs. 28" for the X-25.

I'd love to...

I put the boat away today for the winter. 85 hours this year. About the same as last year, hopefully fewer than next. Every year when I put the boat away, I say, "Wait till next year!" and hope...

About 85 so far this season. Depending on the weather, I'll put the boat away for the winter in another month, plus or minus.

As an X-25 owner, I totally agree with KGrove. At 18mph or lower, the rider isn't jumping the wake. I take lots of beginners on my boat and they all love it. I put them on a long rope, too.

Best...

Yeah, I'd wait for the G21 too. The G series are not the most attractive boat, in my opinion, but man, what a great wake they put out.

For what it's worth I have an X-25 (and used to have a 205V X-2) and take people of all levels on my X-25 to wakeboard, and it works out great. For the beginners I run at a slower speed (18-20) and...

At least for me, to factor in the difference in price between an X-25 and a G23, there are ancillary costs that come with the G23. For example, my boat lift is rated to handle an X-25, but the G23...

Is it ok to run the ballast pumps on empty while the boat is on the trailer or on the lift, or does the boat need to be in the water to not damage the pumps / impellers?

I regularly surf behind a friend's X-55 and love the surf wake. I think it is bigger, longer, and more push than an X-30 I also surf behind. The X-30 is excellent, but the X-55 is more better. ...

That is how it worked on the 2005 X-2 (205V) I had. The ballast drains from above waterline when emptying and on overflow. When filling, it squirts out the side when full. When emptying, it...

I'm with Sodar on this. To me it's just the cost of owning the boat, and I can't wakeboard alone. I'm grateful to have such a good crew.
