That does sound like fun and it would be a cool project. Just drop the engine in older car/truck or off road truck. That would be a fun project especially over the long winter months.

GM has never offered anything but 3.73 gear ratios in 2500HD and 3500 with the Dmax/Allison combo. I believe the ZF six speed manuals were also only 3.73's. So not sure why anyone would complain...

Plus the hydraulic updates fixed the power tower issues and make sure all the software updates have been updated to the BIG and you should be good to go. The 45 is a great boat!
