There are equations but you'd have to have more numbers about the hull displacement.

Easiest just to ballast heavier than you'd use it in application and find a maximum draft.

I believe on the X1 you pull out the speaker next to the center filler, then you can reach behind and either A - work on the wiring or B - pull out the filler cushion to access it.

A short cut vs. buying a specific hose barb - most all air hose barbs are 1/4" NPT - they make perfect hose barbs for oil draining. Most of us have a few in a drawer.
