I think they made that change in '07. My '07 X2 fills/empties from the bottom also. The plumbing is less complicated for that type of system.

Also check the paddle wheel connector near the fuel tank. It is a grey Deutsch 4 pin (but only 3 wires I think). It looks like this.

Probably the voltage is being dragged down by the pumps. Does it do the same thing if you rev the engine above idle?

Might also be a weak battery which isn't taking a charge well.

I put seadeck on the swim platform and its great. It does scratch/scuff and wakeboard fins can cut it. I would not put it in the boat as a carpet replacement though. It will be PERMANENT.

There might be loktite on it but that shouldn't keep you from removing it. You might need to use some wd-40 or breakfree on the nut. Post a pic so we can see what you have.
