It could be the throttle cable/linkage. My boat would idle, then it wouldn’t, after adjusting car , etc. it was the linkage where cable connected. It was messing up the idle.

We have a 1983 or 84 g1 for 6 years. Still use the oil injection. Never had an issue with it. You will have a hard time finding a rear seat unless it already has one.

I'd bet it's a fiberglass stringer 83 1/2. The access hope for the bilge pump is a clue. All the fiberglass stringer 83's (that I've seen) have the access for the bilge. My wooded stringer 83 didn't.

I've had a shore station for over 30 years. Still going strong. You do have to watch the cables if you don't specify stainless steel, otherwise it's galvanized. I've replaced the old galvanized ones...

84 was the transition year from aluminum to plastic. The early ones that year ere aluminum. The gas filler was on drivers side for aluminum, plastic was on the passenger side.
