I am in the process of installing a new wire harness on my 85 SnS. The previous owners have spliced and rewired a lot and even with the wiring diagram I am having some problems getting it all...

I agree stainless would be as much if not more...

I agree stainless would be as much if not more than new mufflers. I really don't think that the exhaust mixed with water would be hot enough to melt the Sch 40 pipe with the motor at normal temps......

PVC for mufflers

Both muffler tubes were shot on my 85 Stars and Stripes. I have seen some pictures of people replacing them with schedule 40 PVC pipe. I tried to search but could not find a thread with some details....

Well, Just got a reply from Taylor. They advised...

Well, Just got a reply from Taylor. They advised their records do not go back as far as 85 and that if I had a cross cut of the gasket they may be able to find something close. No luck on the bolts.
