Here is a pic I just found of my former TriStar showing the two access ports in the floor. The front I think is for the fuel tank and the rear is for the bilge plug.

I don't have an exact measurement . . . but here's a pic of the OEM hose (which I reused) from when I did mine in the spring. Maybe 8-9"? You can approximate by the size of the pump, the pliers, etc.
