Leaving the main switch, leaves the boat powered up. Any parasitic draws can keep the charger out if its float/idle mode. This is rough on a charger and batteries.

Again, it creates no issue to have the charger's negative cables linked through the dual bank ground link. Being a dual bank charger, the positive circuits will be independent and isolated internally...

If the boat has 3 pair of in-boats, my choice would be a pair of Wet Sounds HTX-6. One for the in-boats, 2nd for woofer and tower speakers.

If there is only 2 pair of in-boats, I go with 1 HTX-6...

This is why im a fan of dual banks in a boat. Does not matter how large or small the stereo is or really how you use the boat. Having that backup cranking juice just in case.
