Same as 95-97. Very good hull. Sportstar had simpler interior, but the engine and hull are the same as the 95-97 Prostar. I agree...solid boat for the price range.

No S&S or '86 should have a tower on them. Just my $.02

Nice, classic boats that look better left untouched. The thought of putting a $2,000 tower on a $7,000 boat with no wake seems silly.

Tachometer reading at 1/2 of actual

I'm asking this on behalf of my in-law who is restoring a 50's era Century Resorter. He replaced the engine with a newer engine (GM - mid 2000's) and new gauges.

I was not present when all the...

Re: peppermint oil.

Is that a preventative or to kill them when you see them (besides flicking them in the water and watching the fish get them)?

If preventative, how long before you need to...

Those are really cool. Does anyone know how the sound compares to the JL speakers that come stock in the 2013 boats?

I personally think the sound from the JLs is great, but I have a 197 WTT and I...

Pat,

I may not have written it as clearly as I was thinking.

A 2001 Skier is based upon the hull from the 1995-1997 Prostar. In 2001, it was a "new" boat on the old Prostar hull.

The Prostar in...

I apologize if I'm off a year or so, but the 2001 "Skier" is the "Prostar" hull from 1995-1997. In 2001, it was a less expensive (basic ski boat) alternative to the new model "Prostar" which ran...

I thought the same exact thing...even got a little excited thinking it was a 2015 and they ditched the pickle fork. But looking at the date posted I figured it has to still be there.

Is the water in the bildge warm or cold? If warm, it's coming from the engine. If cold...well, you know.

What about filling the bildge with water from the inside, while sitting on the trailer, and...

Perhaps, but it's quicker to seal it myself in 20 minutes than lose the boat for a few days.

I think it's more of a quality control issue. I would guess most of the boats have gaps that slowly take...

Unless it's clearly loose, I doubt it's the bow ring. +1 for sealing between the rub rail and the hull. Had to do this to my '86, my '03, and my '13. Every one of them had gaps where the rub rail...

It is an option. But you should be able to swap out the paddle wheel assembly with a paddle wheel/depth finder combo unit. Should take about 10 minutes.

Cool looking boat, but 11 years old nonetheless. You can find 2011-2013 WTT boats with low hours in the high 30s and low 40s.

There is likely a premium for the limited edition. But it's a...
