So I am in the process of rebuilding my 71c and getting some of these smaller snap rings off is a pita - I bought the "heavy duty" snap ring pliers and they aren't helping.....any tricks to get these...

So I put a new 13x13 OJ 4-blade on my '79 SNS (351w - 1:1 velvet drive) and the increased acceleration is amazing! I did notice that now the motor will rev up to 5,000 and maybe higher; didn't think...

Starter didn't come with shimming instructions but could be the issue - it usually catches after turning the key several times and sometimes catches first time.....

New Arco starter on my '79 SNS with 351W, sometimes it just spins without engaging the flywheel and I'm hoping i didn't chop teeth...

my '79 has the outlet and vent tubes on the top, if you're taking it out I'd recommend having a shop clean it and check all the welds; I got stranded last year because of the pickup tube breaking off...
