underwater lights no drilling

So I wanted to install some underwater lights without drilling into the hull, this is what I came up with. I mounted two small plates that hang down from the swim platform and ran the wires through a water sealed cord grip and drain plug I made with some hard plastic. from there I mounted a terminal block on the inside of the boat on the plastic divider along side the engine then ran wires to an empty switch on the dash. I can take more pictures if anyone is interested

I don't quite understand where you ran the wires. Could you post a photo please. I like the lights, but don't want to drill holes in the hull.

It looks like the wires are running through the custom drain plug that he made out of hard plastic, and sealed to be water tight. Nice idea.

yes, they are ran through the drain plug. Ill grab some pictures tonight

What LEDs did you use on yours?

You can get a drain plug LED from eBay for $50 shipped:http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?n...028759&alt=web

It is a 1/2 NPT" so I had to get an adapter to make it fit 3/4" NPT. I bought it a year ago and just got around to installing it. The seller may make one that fits a 3/4" NPT.

Nice! Where did you run the power from? Splice into the transom light?
