Fiberglass to teak platform

Looking at X45's and seems most I find have the fiberglass platform. All my previous MC's have had the teak platform and I really like the wood much better. My qustions is this; is it a big deal to replace a fiberglass platform with a teak platform? Are the brackets the same? Where might I even find a teak platform?

Thanks in advance for everyone's time.

WHY would you go looking for a teak platform?

Fiberglass is tougher, more durable, easier to repair, lower maintance and there is never an issue of sticky or slick feeling.

If it is vanity driven, great.
Wish mine was a bolt on for you, we could trade. :D

What color is it? Is a 45 & 55 the same? Ive been considering going to a fiberglass.

x2 for teak. I'd love to find someone in my area that would be interested in trading teak for my black fiberglass on my '06 X30.

Just switched to teak on my 45. Exact same brackets. I loved my flake platform but too easy to scratch.

Thanks all. Glad to know brackets are the same.

I realize the fiberglass is far more practical, but I just like the classic look of the teak.

I think the ease or making teak look new makes it more practical than a fiberglass platform, which can be tough to repair if it gets scratched on the sides.

Teakworld is a great company. They made a very nice transom saver for my boat. A full platform will cost you plenty though.
