What motor is in this boat?

I have been looking at MC's and came across this 2007 X-45. The boat looks decent but I have not seen this motor. The seller states that it's 310HP.

Any ideas?

310 hp predator
X45 with fly high system really needs a min of 400hp LY6 or 450hp 8.1
the 310 will move the boat but you'll most likely want a smaller boat like the current owner

That's the Indmar RTP1. I didn't even think you could get that in a 45, also no bow ladder? Thought that was standard...

I have a friend with an X45 and his has the 8.1 450hp. And believe me when I say...it NEEDS it! It is a big boat, and if you put any weight in it it'll take the hp to push it. An upgraded prop would help too. IMO that's just too much boat. He's had many probs with the boat running gear wise bc its just so much weight to push around and maneuver through the water.

Thanks...I guess I will pass on this one.

This one has the MCX motor..

Not sure if that's enough power for this boat.

I really like this one but the price seems a bit steep.

i'm with mastique. I didn't even know you could get the RTP in the 45. my 330 LTR struggles sometimes with my weighted 02 x30. definately pass, if for no other reason than inability to sell it down the road.

texas mastercraft has a 07 x45 with the 8.1 for pretty close to the same price

MCX isn't going to be much better in a boat that size. Torque cure is about the same as the RTP. You'll need the big bump or you'll be wishing you had it later.

I think the rtp would be ok for surfing with the right prop. If you want to sac it out for wakeboarding, I can't imagine that's enough motor.
