Color match gelcote for S&S boats
 

Does anyone know if color match gelcote is available for older boats such as my 77 S&S? Would the HIN breakdown the color? If not would MC be of any help. I have some various patch work and some spider cracks to repair.

No the HIN does not contain color. Color matching gel is trial and error. you can get gel and tints and try to get close - let dry (no hardener) -

1977 I bet MC would have a clue plus new gel versus old gel.

Try spectrum color. They usually have the factory gel color. Obviously you will need to tint to match of which they have a tint kit as well. They can also talk you through the tint process.
