07 X Star with LQ-9 6.0 questions
 

I'm looking at trading in my 08 x-35 for a 07 X Star with the LQ-9 6.0. I did some searching on the LQ-9 motor and found a little infor from some people. I would like to hear from anyone here with a Star with the LQ-9 and loaded down. How does your boat get out of the water? Did you change your prop out? Does any one have any real complaints on the LQ-9. I'm still on the fence if this is what I want to do or keep looking for something different. Thanks for any info

07 with LQ9, maybe its a LY6?

LY6 I think.... snork is right, prop choice is going to be key in getting any x-star loaded down with lots of ballast out on plane.

Didnt MC offer a 6L TDI Diesle around that time?

Yeah they have it listed as a LQ-9. I sent a message to the sales guy at the dealership to make sure what motor. I'm not sure on years and motors. Thanks for the info.

I got a reply back and they are telling me it is a LQ-9. Here is the link to the boat

Hmm.. if its a Cadillac, I wonder if its the supercharged large block. Maybe the motor was replaced at some point?

I have no input on the motor, but that is a beautiful boat. It's a shame they used the bow for brail-docking. Get that guy some curb finders!

Every thing I have searched shows 07 to have the MCX 350 or the LY6. So that's why I wanted to ask here to see what I could find out.
