Before I go and spend money and get something incompatible, I would just like to confirm with the hive about something:

1991 PS with factory EI.

Looking at the Flame-Thrower II sold by skidim:

I didn't think they offered electronic ignition as OEM until 1993. Pictures?

I thought the same thing. I pulled the distributor on my '92 and was surprised that it also had EI. I replaced the entire unit with a Pertronix Billet Plug and Play with a Flame Thrower II coil and could not be happier with it. Summit.com

Shop Amazon.com for that Flamethrower II coil. I saved some money on mine.

Call Skidim. They will give you great advice and are very knowledgeable. The advice is free but won't continue to be there if you don't spend the $1 OR $2 more for their recommended solution. A few minutes of there time and expert advice will save you tons of research time, install time and assure compatibility.

I buy my parts from them or BAWS for the reasons stated above..

I have done the plugs, wires and cap/rotor so I figured the coil is pretty cheap, 20+ years old, and simple to do so let's spend more money supporting my (MC)OCD.

I have shopped around for a dizzy and coil upgrade, as I am switchng over to EI. Amazon is the cheapest I found...
