X9 or 209 with LQ9 (6.0)????
Just curious of how rare an X-9 or 209 with the 6.0 is. Does anyone have one or know someone that has one equipped with the 6.0
I may consider one this yr or next if I could find one with the 6.0. Of course, I would also consider the X-14 with the 6.0 depending on price. |
Did you get down to Nashville last weekend for the boat show? That would have been a good question for the MC guys. Out of curiousity, why are you only considering the 6.0?

Cannot help but thought I share that we had an x9 with the 8.1 for barefooting couple years ago :D

Gotcha. If you do have issues finding the 6.0, you could always "settle" on the 5.7 and talk to OJ about a better prop. I have the X-30 and the 5.7 pushes it around just fine with the ballast and all. However, if I could afford the engine and the gas, you better believe I would have the 8.1 in it lol

I have an x9 with 330 LTR and badass cnc 3 blade acme I bought off someone on this board... I weigh 200 and foot long line with up to 5 ppl in boat. No spray in face.

It was kind of too much, everything was vibrating when that block was started. Hitting down the trottle felt like if the prop was not in wather but in concrete, if you know what I mean.
In my point of view the 6.0 is/was the best motor in their lineup... |
We've got a 2002 X-9 with the LQ9. It's a great engine, very smooth, very responsive to the throttle. Never had any real problms with it.

I wouldn't think that the mcx would really push the X9 over 43 to 45 even with a different prop. I'm sure we will get some more input on that as well. Just getting a feel as to how hard this boat may be to find. I've got a 190 with the 454 I might just get another X45 and keep the 190 for footin. |
