Reluctant Feeler: 1984 Mastercraft Stars and Stripes
 

Just tossing a feeler thread up for my '84 Stars & Stripes. I have a feeling I'm just missing it since it's January and I'm forgetting how awesome it is but I figured I would throw it up anyway since it's on my mind. It's in winter storage up in Michigan right now but I could potentially show anyone with interest.

1984 S&S
I believe it has just over 800 or so hours, but I can't remember the exact number!

Interior is in pretty good condition other than the engine cover which is peeling back around the sides. Side panels sag a bit but not too bad!

I bought it last summer and absolutely love it. It ran great all summer, I didn't have to do much other than some precautionary things that I figured I would do before I tossed it in the water for the year.

I added a stereo and 4 new speaker, sort of a temporary job that I planned on doing right in the coming months before summer 2013 but I guess we'll see.

With all of that said, I would sell it for the right price but it might depend on my mood that day!

The obvious question: Why sell it?

Still not sure I want to! We don't get too many warm months up here so that's about the only reason I would consider selling it.

Overheated? (Based on the warped plastic on the back of the block, this is just a guess.) I think I remember this being for sale in the last 1-2 years, and seeing threads about issues with it. I could be thinking of a different boat in the same color scheme, but the grip tape on the top of the back end seems familair.

Didn't know he was on the boards when I bought it! I found it on Craigslist last summer.

It's a feeler thread guys, I don't need to sell it, there are no issues with it, I just put it up in case it's what someone wants!

If not, it goes right back in the water after winter.

Working 6 days a week and then driving 100 miles to use the boat for a day and a half gets old!

Something melted the ballast / reset cover.

I was considering looking into that boat for myself but decided not too as I didn't want to stretch myself thin on cash. Wish you the best with your sale or if you decide to keep it as it looks like an excellent well taken care of stars and stripes
