Raw Water Hose Connections
I'm thinking about installing a tee and a couple of valves between the raw water intake and raw water pump so i can easily hook up a hose to run the boat out of the water on my 2000 X-star with the 310HP inmar. Anybody have any thoughts on this? If anybody has any pics or knows the size of the hose that would be great as my boat is stored about an hour away.

Thanks for the link, does anyone know what size hose goes from the intake to the raw water pump?

1-1/4" I believe.
Old boat had a tee with a garden hose thread on it. just screw in the hose and go on a DD if the connection is on a horizontal part of the hose after the trans cooler. Or close the r/w valve on the hull if you're losing water out the intake.
PO had a quick connect garden hose fitting that I used most of the time. Allowed you to put one end of the quick connect on the T fitting and the other on the hose so you could have the water turned on to the hose and not get water everwhere. Just sanp the quick coupler in and start the engine.

was it a pvc tee or brass tee? i am thinking i would need to put a brass tee and valve inline to minimize failure. Thanks!
