Found it by accident. It's in Australia. Someone must have twisted Mastercraft's arm to build one.

Wow, that is a tight fit. Looks like they had to trim the support rails to fit it in.

It's kinda cool to know there's at least one Ilmor X1 out there..

might be a dumb question, but what is the difference between an Ilmor and an Indmar? (sp) I have a 06 x1 and I'm pretty sure that its an Indmar.

Ilmor is just a different engine maker. Mastercraft ran indmar engines for a long time. Ilmor and indmar engines were both options in 2011, except on the X1 which was indmar only. MC went to all ilmor engines only in 2012. Rumor was the X1 was canned because the ilmor 5.7 wouldn't fit. I guess that wasn't the case.

This makes me even more curious about the elusive 8.1L 2001 xstar. Seeing how tight the fit is on that 5.7L ilmor, I'd love to see how they crammed an 8.1L in there. I've still never seen or heard from anyone who has seen one. Maybe Jim can help us out.
