2006 Xstar Dash/Switches
 

Hey everyone. Looking for ways to spruce up my 2004 X STAR a bit. I have purchased stainless steel cup holders, a porter cable random orbital to get the hull in pristine shape, etc. What i would really love to do it upgrade the switches and backing plates for the ballast, bilge, lights, etc. to look like the 2006 X Star's like the below pictures. My questions are: Can this be done fairly easily? And for how much? Can i just order the parts from Mastercraft? If so, anyone have the part numbers?

Check ebay, search on Mastercraft Switch, or Mastercraft Dash. There's a lot out there. Some look exactly like the pictures you've posted.

Look for a company Great Lakes skipper on eBay or solo. They stock a ton of older parts. From what I was told when dealers and Mfgs rid their parts this place picks em up. Found lots of older parts and accessories from them

I've had good luck here. If it's not listed call them. They can usually get it from MC if it is still available. Your local MC dealer can also.

If you buy from MC it WILL be expensive but I doubt you'll find those anywhere else.

Where did you buy the stainless cup holders? What did they cost you?

I wouldn't do it. I agree they look nice, but they break. I've just replaced most of these switches in 2007 X-2. Ask Sodar how many he has changed in his boat.

2nd that. If you have rocker switches, keep them, better in the long run. You can get replacement toggle switches that are steel, but not sure if you can get them with lighted tips.
I've replaced several on my 06 X2 already.

There was a guy In the classifieds parts secrion who was parting out a salvaged 06 XStar. Check him out and see if he still has the dash parts
