Moving Boat to High Altitude Lake
I am moving my 2008 X-2 Saltwater Series from Sea Level to Lake Tahoe which is about 6300 ft. What should I do to make sure that it will run smooth once it gets out here?

I have taken my '08 X-14 from sea level to Park City UT at 5000 feet with no operational issues. The ECM adjusts air-fuel mixture automatically. I make sure I run premium fuel as HP decreases at altitude.

We ski with a family that brings a CSX from Phoenix to Lake Powell for five years with no issues. This is a 600' to 4,000' elevation change.

You may need to check on invasive species inspection requirements as a lot of states implemented new laws the last two years. I have to be inspected everytime I go from WA to ID or to any National Recreation Area like Lake Powell.

Last fall I got a lot of new questions about how I maintain my permanent ballast tanks to make sure I have no milofoil weeds, mussels, etc. at both Lake Powell and the Idaho border crossing inspections. I know our boating friends also had questions on maintenance of their live wells, which were visually inspected.

You will need to change to different pitch propeller to account for the loss of engine power at high altitude.

This is the only change that I know of bringing a late model boat up to high altitude.

What engine? MCX? I think the 08 MCX X2's came with a 15.5" pitch prop. It will be lacking some at altitude. Not as bad as the 17 pitch on my 06 X2 though. That thing lost alomst 1000rpms at 6500-7000'. I propped down to a 14.5x14.25 ACME and the difference was night and day. Good hole shot now, got all my rpms back and still get 41-42mph on flat water.
Other than that it will run fine at altitude.

We boat at 5900'. x45. We use 14.5x14.25 and reach 5100 rpm. Think the EMC will adjust the fuel/air mixture for you. Just re-prop and you should be good.

I would suggest at least a 14.25 X 14, maybe even the 14.75 X 13 depending on how much ballast you typically run.
