Course there are other options, marine plywood, fiberglass wrapped construction grade plywood (both heavier, than OEM panel).

I love McMaster-Carr! Make sure you use nice big washers to spread the load on those bolts to the motorbox hinges.

That is great!

Sadly, I don't think even the 4'x2' sheet is big enough. IIRC the width needed was about 26.5". I know this because I bought a quarter sheet of ply when I was re-making mine and it was too narrow. Maybe my boat is strange?

You could do it with two or make some spacers or something.

Good find, still love that place.
