Trailer VIN # plaque Replacement
Anyone know where I can get a replacement? I couldn't read mine before the powdercoating so it was removed. It's on a 94' single axle trailer.

If I can't find a replacement then the next best thing would be getting a good quality, high resolution picture from someone and have one made with the VIN # on it, etc.

Thanks for any help! Trailer is looking good!

You can always investigate getting a one off decal here, and
or use the picture for reproduction of a new one.
The (4) VIN/NIV stickers on the bottom of the decal are (4) seperate decals for placement on the trailer in hidden areas, like on the frame under the fenders, etc. rather than stamping numbers in the steel frame.
I just hope you can get all the data off your old decal or someone with a good decal can give you everything but the VIN.

Good start, thanks! You are correct, I am hoping I can get someone to provide all other info other than the actual VIN #. Here is what it looked like before the paint job. Pretty much unreadable (Except for "APR"). I tried it at different angles, different lights......I still couldn't read a single number.

I do have the VIN # from the bill of sale and Title for the trailer though:cool:

you can call Mastercraft and ask them to send you one. I just imported from the US a Maristar 1995 and the vin plate on the trailer was washed out. they sent me a new one. i just had to email them a scan of my bill of sale.

yup, scharette is right, I bought my 190 in the states and imported to canada, and my trailer vin looked like yours, phoned mastercraft and they sent me a new one like scharette has.

Thanks guys. I'll give them a call tomorrow!!:D

Did your plaque look identical to the one it replaced or was it different? (but with the same info)

Oh, and thanks there Canada boys......I was born in Calgary!

Called Tommy Conner this morning, emailed him my bill of sale and the plaque is already done! It took like 3 hours to complete! He said they would drop it in the mail later today. Now that's quick and great customer service!

Thanks all for the help!

I did the same as the other Canadians have posted. The replacement from MC was a plate that needs to be riveted on, not an adhesive sticker like the original.
Customs official didn't even come out to check the boat HIN or the trailer VIN when I came across!! Also never even looked at the $2000 worth of stuff (which I had declared) that was stored in the boat -- spare tire, new prop, ski equip, etc. etc.

I had the same washed out sticker as you.

I asked the custom officer if he wanted to see the boat and he said just bill of sale with trailer vin and boat vin was ok. He also sais that he would be surprised if he could read the VIN on a 1995 trailer! As for canadian tire 'inspection' its a joke, they look if the light works, they check the vin plate , the tire size...
